Ceramic Studio Apprentice Wanted
If you are in the Flowery Branch, GA area and have ceramic studio experience, or are interested in learning all aspects of making and selling ceramics, I'm considering an apprenticeship opportunity that would involve instruction in exchange for studio and sales work including kiln loading/unloading, firing and glazing, uploading images to shopify and fulfilling orders. I'm open to anyone 18+ preferably, but will consider high school students. My ceramic studio is home-based, in my basement. This is an unpaid position, however, there are other studios that actually charge a fee ($1,500) for a four-week apprenticeship.
What you will learn:
- how to run a pottery
- throwing, firing, glazing
- clay bodies
- casting ceramics
- Shopify selling
Requirements:
- able to lift 50lbs (boxes of clay)
- willing to get your hands dirty (clay is messy)
- experienced with ceramics preferred, but not necessary
- good attitude, and hard worker
- 18+ preferred
